I'm more Green than I knew!

I always love making my kids teachers gifts. I have made teachers in the past tote bags but this year I made the tote bags out of old plaid school jumbers and the pocket on the front is from an old oxford school shirt. What a great way to recycle!!

Theodore Roosevelt was one cool dude!!

Today my 8 year old had his biography book report at school. He decided to do it on Theodore Roosevelt. They had to dress up like the person they were reporting on. He wanted to dress up as the cowboy version. When I had a little trouble finding something for him to wear his said he second choice was to go as a dirty kid, because as a kid Theodore always liked to be outside in nature and would always be dirty. My dad is a real life cowboy and I used to be a part time cowgirl, so between the 2 of us we came up with his outfit. The chaps and spurs are my dads but the cowboy hat and boots are mine. We had to bribe him to get him to wear the chaps but it was definitely worth it. I think he looks great!!

I am convinced that Jackson is going to be an entertainer of some sort. He is always acting in some way or putting on some kind of show. He is so hilarious but when you laugh he thinks you are laughing at him, oh the dilemmas of being a star. Yesterday I was sitting at the table and he comes down dressed in this attire and starts acting like he is rapping. Of course the first thing I do is laugh and grab my camera.
